The Oil & Gas Industry has a major need to collect large datasets at drilling sites and move the data to an on-shore processing center. Modern drilling rigs are outfitted with multiple sensors collecting seismic, fluid, and meteorological readings and scans, not to mention camera footage. A large rig can generate over 1TB of data per day. Web connectivity is usually limited at these remote sites; satellite connections are extremely expensive. The ability with ServerPack35™ to move up to 144TB of sensitive data is usually the most efficient method to get timely data back to headquarters for detailed analysis.
