The aim of Edge Computing is to deliver processing, storage, and bandwidth much closer to data inputs and end users in the emerging field of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and other applications that demand mobility, local compute and data-center-class services everywhere. Acromove’s ServerPack™ EDGE is designed to meet these needs in a unique portable device that establishes a hardware and software Root-of-Trust unit suitable for the most demanding use cases. The new member of the ServerPack™ family, ServerPack™ EDGE is a portable and shippable data center in a box that brings new capabilities to the IIoT space. It combines processing, storage, networking/routing, and a high-capacity UPS in a unique Hyper-Converged device.

THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR HYBRID CLOUD
ServerPack™ EDGE brings a lot of technology together in a shippable, shockproof, weatherproof package that can be deployed in difficult environments or remain rack-mounted in a datacenter. Multiple Ethernet ports (a combination of up to 8x 1/10GbE and 2x 40/56 GbE copper, or SFP+/QSFP+) and integrated WiFi router access point (with ZigBee as an option) provide wide interconnectivity on factory floors, on-premise data centers or in remote locales. The system has a sophisticated power management module for 100V/240V AC or 10-22V (10-50V opt.) DC operation, can connect directly to solar source, and has a 392Wh built-in UPS that provides power for up to 4 hours with everything up and running.


SHEER PROCESSING POWERENDLESS EXPANDABILITY
Like the rest of the ServerPack™ family, ServerPack™ EDGE uses E4 Xeon processors (4-16 cores) and up to 128GB of RAM to power any software the end user requires. When real-time analytics and visualization are called for, ServerPack™ EDGE offers a GPU (AMD WX5100 or a Tesla P4 nVidia) that brings powerful co-processing capabilities even for demanding AI. When connectivity is the primary need, two PCIe V3 slots + one M.2 free PCIe V3 slot allow to connect a myriad of expansion peripherals, from multichannel 8K digital video I/O to advanced signal conditioning and acquisition modules. ServerPack™ EDGE data-center-class architecture moves everything closer to where data is generated, enabling local data processing and decision making with much lower latency than moving all data to the cloud. This new architecture offers additional capabilities to enable inter-operability between software and hardware ecosystem layers.
ROBUST, SECURE, TRACKABLE, TRACEABLE
A PORTABLE DATA FORTRESS

A major concern when using powerful computer platforms at the cloud’s edge is security. As you would expect, like with the rest of the ServerPack™ family, we use in ServerPack™ EDGE every available security feature to guarantee the system's integrity. Stored data is protected with AES-256 encryption using a Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM). The enclosure is tamper-resistant and tamper evident. Based on Acromove’s patent pending AcroTrace™ technology, a ServerPack™ EDGE has full awareness of its surrounding and usage. On-board sensors monitor all internal components, handling and usage, track the device using 4 different methods while all are managed by a proprietary SaaS cloud-based platform that logs all system events in real or near-real time (depending on the device and type of use), called the Device Gateway Platform™ (DGP). The on-board Geolocation Brain constantly feeds the DGP, tracks the whereabouts of the device, verifies the chain of custody by location and use correlation, and allows remote control and management of any project on which ServerPack™ EDGE is deployed.
