Acromove Appoints Wavelink as Distributor Across Australia and New Zealand

Systems integrator Orro joins as partner, bringing portable edge-cloud, AI inference and private 5G capabilities to ANZ channel

Athens, Greece & Melbourne, Australia – March 2026. Acromove, a provider of portable edge-cloud systems, has appointed Wavelink as its distributor across Australia and New Zealand. The agreement gives regional channel partners access to Acromove’s edge-cloud platforms, with Wavelink responsible for partner recruitment, pre- and post-sales support and education programs focused on edge-cloud and private 5G. Wavelink will build a partner network targeting sectors including critical infrastructure, utilities, resources, industrial operations, emergency response, field services and remote facilities.

The appointment also broadens Wavelink’s portfolio across networking, mobility and cybersecurity. Part of the Infinigate Group, Wavelink says the relationship aligns with its focus on operational environments where business continuity and secure communications are priorities.

The announcement also includes further cementing a systems integrator partnership with Orro, which is working alongside both companies on field-based customer and partner use cases, pointing to a broader ecosystem approach that combines distribution, technology and specialist services for deployments in operational technology and remote environments.

Addressing the Demands of Remote Operations

The partnership targets industries where on-site decision-making is critical and where deploying specialist staff to service infrastructure is costly or logistically challenging. Acromove’s portable edge model combines edge compute, edge AI inference and private 5G connectivity in a single deployable platform, designed to reduce site visits and lower operating expenditure by limiting cloud data transfer and massively simplifying local deployment.

The value proposition is particularly relevant in sectors such as mining, utilities and emergency services, where connectivity can be inconsistent and systems must continue operating even when links to central infrastructure are disrupted. By running AI inference and data processing locally at the edge – rather than routing workloads to a distant cloud – organisations can maintain real-time decision-making capabilities regardless of network conditions. Private 5G adds a further layer of resilience, enabling secure, high-bandwidth wireless communications across remote or sprawling operational sites without reliance on public networks. The platform has also attracted interest from organisations looking to process sensitive data locally for privacy or data sovereignty reasons.

Executive Commentary

Acromove Chief Executive Officer George Katiniotis said Australia and New Zealand were a strong fit for the company’s expansion:

Acromove’s edge-cloud form factor is designed from the ground up to reduce cost and complexity while enabling new use cases where speed, resilience and sovereignty matter. Education is crucial because many organisations don’t yet know what’s possible at the edge until they see it in action. Industries are moving into an era where AI inference and AI agents need to run somewhere reliable, secure and close to operations, not just in a distant cloud. We see portable edge-cloud as a new category, and our strategy is to scale through a strong partner ecosystem that can package complete solutions for customers. With ANZ’s vast distances and remote operations, it’s the ideal environment for this market shift.” said Katiniotis.

“Acromove’s edge-cloud form factor is designed from the ground up to reduce cost and complexity while enabling new use cases where speed, resilience and sovereignty matter. Education is crucial because many organisations don’t yet know what’s possible at the edge until they see it in action,” added Katiniotis.

Wavelink Chief Operating Officer Nick Touzeau outlined how the distributor sees the fit with its existing channel strategy:

“Wavelink is building an ecosystem of technologies designed to support environments where resilience, security and operational continuity are non-negotiable. Acromove adds a highly differentiated edge-cloud capability to our portfolio, giving partners a practical way to bring compute, connectivity and AI inference closer to the field, with a plug-and-play model that reduces complexity and speeds up deployment,” Touzeau said.

“Edge capability is becoming critical infrastructure, especially across remote sites where the cost and complexity of traditional approaches can be prohibitive. Acromove’s approach gives partners a new way to package and deliver edge compute and private networking in a form factor designed for speed, resilience and real-world operations,” said Stuart Long, Chief Technology Officer at Orro.

About Acromove

Acromove is a pioneering technology company specializing in Edge Computing and Private 5G. With headquarters in Boston, US, and R&D and manufacturing sites in Athens, Greece, Acromove designs and manufactures Edge Cloud appliances with optional Private 5G to bring compute and connectivity directly to the field, requiring no IT expertise. Industries such as broadcasting, mining, construction, defence and telecom increasingly require real-time AI/analytics where cloud latency is a bottleneck and infrastructure is incomplete. Acromove’s portable, high-performance systems replace containerized micro-datacenters, accelerating deployment from months to hours and enabling new operational models in remote and mission-critical environments. Backed by patented hardware design, field-validated use cases and Tier-1 partners, Acromove sits at the convergence of Edge AI, 5G/5G-Advanced connectivity and next-gen mission-critical infrastructure.
