ThunderPack™ Mini Mk II Series
(postponed, TBD)
ThunderPack™ Mini Mk II Series is our 2018 redesigned device for the film industry, with four new models that will incorporate the lightning-fast Thunderbolt 3 interface. Each model sports the unique Acromove™ portable design with patented security features, ensuring the safety and integrity of the stored data. All four designs will be built using advanced, lightweight materials including military-grade exoskeleton, aircraft-grade aluminium and carbon fiber elements. The units are self-contained in an IP67-rated watertight, dust-proof Pelican™ case that can be operated in standing water, snow, or mud and stowed in an overhead airline bin or economically shipped via UPS/FedEx, weighting not more than 25lb./11.4Kg including all drives and batteries. All ThunderPack™ Mini Mk II models will feature an advanced hardware RAID card and 12G architecture delivering up to 1000 MB/s using RAID 5 on standard laptop 2.5” HDDs. The unit can saturate the bus when using SSDs for the fastest data transfer possible up to about 2500 MB/s (using 8 drives). Its unique, shockproof, and patented disk pod holds eight 2.5” HDDs or SSDs impervious to shock and vibration. With the drives available today in the market, total raw capacity is 40TB, but that's just an indicative number since the device can carry any available commercial or professional 2.5" HDD or SSD.
ThunderPack Mini Standard
ThunderPack™ Mini Mk II base model is a straight-ahead Thunderbolt 3, cost-effective RAID solution for storing and moving high resolution media files. It has one Thunderbolt 3 USB-C interface. Simply flip open the lid, connect to any Mac or PC computer and transfer your files.

ThunderPack Mini Plus
ThunderPack™ Mini+ (“plus” model) adds several important features that make this model stand out from the competition. It includes Acromove™ patented power management system with on-board Li-Ion batteries that power the system for up to 6 hours off-grid and acts like a UPS, even running and charging a connected laptop. The batteries are hot-swappable for continuous operation in the field. It also has a unique DC input port for connecting a solar panel or external battery pack. Another unique feature is the built-in 12G SAS expansion port that connects to external LTO drives. Up to four more drives can be connected with a breakout cable.
ThunderPack Mini Crypto
ThunderPack™ Crypto (base model with encryption) is the world’s first compact, portable Thunderbolt 3 RAID with AES-256 encryption and local key management for military-grade security of your data (at rest and during transport), conforming to the MPAA Content Security Program and NIST FIPS140-2 standards. The base Crypto model has the same features as the ThunderPack™ Mini (Thunderbolt 3 port) with the addition of special hardware circuitry to transparently encrypt data as it is being written to the disk (either HDD or SSD). The encryption works at any RAID level and does not rely on self-encrypted drives. Read/write performance is not affected by the encryption process. CryptoKeys are generated locally when the volume is striped. Any number of CryptoKeys can be made and, when the process is closed, no additional keys can be made for that volume – nor can the keys be copied. To change keys for a new project, simply re-stripe the volume and overwrite the existing keys.

ThunderPack Mini Crypto Plus
ThunderPack™ Crypto+ (plus model with encryption) adds our patented battery management system with on-board Li-Ion batteries that powers the system for up to 6 hours off-grid and acts like a UPS, even running and charging a connected laptop. The batteries are hot-swappable for continuous operation in the field. It also has a unique DC input port for connecting a solar panel or external battery pack. Encryption does not significantly add to power consumption. ThunderPack™ Crypto+ is the only battery operated encrypted RAID solution available in the open market, ideal for workflows demanding portability and absolute data security.
